I CHOOSE BELLEVUE!

1/31/2021

School Starts Tuesday, August 4th

8/2/2020

The first day of school is here.  There's no doubt that this year will be unique.  Teachers, administration, and school staff have been working extremely hard this summer to make the transition to virtual school.  We are all new to this, and we're in this together.

What do you need to know?  Here is some information for you.

1.  First Week Schedule
Monday, August 3    No School (Teacher Planning)
Tuesday, August 4    Students log into Schoology for schedule
Wednesday, August 5    Students log into Schoology for schedule
Thursday, August 6    No School (Teacher Planning) - Election Day
Friday, August 7    Students log into Schoology for schedule

2.  BMS Virtual Schedule

3. What is Clever?  What is Schoology?

Clever is an online portal to many different educational applications.  Once a student logs into his/her clever portal, (s)he can automatically get access to other things like Schoology, Teams, IXL, Flipgrid, and much more.  There's no need to remember a login to all these applications if you have your login to Clever.
clever.com/in/mnps

Schoology is the school management software MNPS will be using to conduct virtual school.  You can access it directly by going to mnps.schoology.com (or you can access Schoology through the Clever portal.)

Once school gets going, teachers will give parents a parent access code to Schoology.  This will give parents the ability to create their own parent account, to keep track of their student.

4.  User names, passwords, and email addresses
User Name:
Every MNPS student has a user name that uses the first name, last initial and the last 5 digits of his or her student number.
If John Doe's student number is 190987654, his user name is johnd87654

Password:
Passwords are case sensitive.  MNPS uses the first letter of the first name (capitalized) + first letter of the last name (lowercase) + date of birth.
John Doe was born on September 8, 2007.  His password is Jd090807

Email Address:
student email addresses use the user name and adds @mnpsk12.org
John Doe's email address is johnd87654@mnpsk12.org

4.  What is the Parent Portal/Infinite Campus?
Infinite Campus is the Parent Portal MNPS uses.  Here, parents can check on their students' grades, attendance and more.  For more information, you can learn more on the MNPS website.  If you need your access key/GUID Code to setup your portal, please reach out to one of these two people:
5th and 6th grade students:  Mrs. Queen at shawn.queen@mnps.org
7th and 8th grade students:  Mrs. Butkerait: carolann.butkerait@mnps.org

8/19/2019

Picture
Help us reach our goals for the 2019-2020 school year through this amazing fundraising opportunity for the school, and enjoy great deals throughout the greater Nashville area!

Bellevue Middle is the only public school in our area who sells City Saver.  There are great local deals inside the book and the value is well over it's cost of $25.

On top of the great savings in the book itself, there is also additional savings in the City Saver App for iPhone and Android.

Sales run from Monday 8/19 through Monday 9/9. Make checks payable to Bellevue Middle PTO and drop them off in an envelope in the NAVY DROP BOX right outside the Owl Store.

If you are interested in purchasing the Nashville South edition, please note this on the front of your envelope.  Otherwise, books will be the Nashville edition.

If you would rather purchase your book online, or if you have family who may want a book for a different location (there are many to choose from,) that is an option too.
Order Online!

Our students can earn prizes for reaching certain sales goals.
  • Be one of the first 125 students to sell a book -> a bag of TAKIS Chips!
  • 1 book sold -> Emoji pencil and entered to win the City Saver/Nashville Predators Top seller event at the New Altitude Trampoline Park!
  • 3 books sold -> Maggie Moos ice cream card
  • 5 books sold -> BoomBozz Pizza card
  • 8 books sold -> Receive a pass to Climb Nashville
  • 10 books sold -> 2 Altitude Trampoline park passes

Did someone say ice cream?

Here are some tips and tricks to be prepared on Monday.
  • School doors will open at 8:40AM!

  • Car riders will enter BMS by the tennis courts and follow the road around the school (you will pass the Bell Garden). Car Riders will enter the school via the SIDE DOORS where they are dropped off (Note: this is a change from last year!)

  • Bus riders: please note that there is a bus shortage and your drop off and pick up times may be a little later than normal.

  • Remember there is No SSA at BMS!

  • 5th grade will report on Monday to the cafeteria and divide up by Homeroom.

  • 6th-8th grade will report to their grade level hallway, where there Homeroom teacher will be listed. Then, they will report to Homeroom.

  • Principal Swihart will do a special call out on SUNDAY afternoon/evening just for students! Please let them answer when you see the MNPS number.
